The only problem is they are much sort after. Bidding on online auction sites can get up into thousands of dollars.
After getting out-bid on several occasions and getting somewhat disheartened, I was about to give up on the idea of restoring a Land Rover. Then one evening, I was searching on Ebay when I came across a complete 1968 series 2A landrover. It had been listed in the wrong section of Ebay. It had no bids and no watchers.
Unfortunatley it was about to end, so it didn't allow enough time to go and have a detailed look out it. So, it was a bit of a leap of faith. I waited to the last minute and put a $1100 bid on it and won. It was somewhat fitting that the car I was buying for my 50th birthday present was also 50 years old.
